IMDb Single Sign-On with Amazon

This article explains how IMDb and IMDbPro customers may be signed in with their existing Amazon account, on IMDb.com and the IMDb app for iOS and Android. Once signed in, you can get recommendations tailored to your taste, track titles on your Watchlist, rate what you watch, and also contribute to the world's most popular entertainment database. This experience offers consistency and simplicity across IMDb, IMDbPro and Amazon using your existing Amazon account.
IMDb is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon and was acquired in 1998.
What's new
If available in your location, Amazon customers will be automatically signed into IMDb.com with your Amazon account. This applies to IMDb.com, the IMDb iOS app, and the IMDb Android app. For more information, visit our guide.
On IMDb.com, you'll notice one of the two experiences:
- You are signed in as [name] from Amazon. Not you? Learn more | No Thanks
- You are signed in as [name] from Amazon. Not you? Sign in another way
On the IMDb iOS or Android app, you'll receive a brief notification on your screen confirming you've been signed in with your Amazon account. The notification includes a "No thanks" option to sign out if you'd prefer not to stay signed in. Tapping No thanks will permanently opt you out of Automatic Sign-in with Amazon, you'll receive a new notification confirming this.

I already have an IMDb account. What happens?
If you already have an IMDb account with the same email address as your Amazon account, you'll be asked if you'd like to link them. Linking your accounts lets you sign in with Amazon and keeps all your existing IMDb data (ratings, Watchlist, reviews, and more). For more information refer to our guide.
If you'd rather not link these accounts, select Not now, and you can continue signing in the way you do today.
How do I unlink my accounts?
If you already have an IMDb account linked with your Amazon account, you'll need to go the Delete account page in your Account Settings and identify the IMDb account to be unlinked (by email). You'll need to be logged in to an IMDb account to do this.
Please ensure that you're deleting the correct IMDb account before proceeding.
In your IMDb Account Settings, you'll see information about your IMDb account, including any profiled data. You'll notice a link to your IMDb profile, the number of titles in your Watchlist, how many titles you've rated, the number of titles you've reviewed and your profile badges. Before opting to unlink and delete an IMDb account, check the email address of that IMDb account, and confirm that the associated profile is of the IMDb account you wish to unlink and delete.
