This article explains how IMDb and IMDbPro customers may be signed in with their existing Amazon account on IMDb.com, to get recommendations tailored to your taste, track titles on your Watchlist, rate what you watch, and also contribute to the world's most popular entertainment database. This experience offers consistency and simplicity across IMDb, IMDbPro and Amazon using your existing Amazon account.
IMDb is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Amazon and was acquired in 1998.

How do I unlink my accounts?
If you already have an IMDb account linked with your Amazon account, you will need to go the Delete account page in your Account Settings and identify the IMDb account to be unlinked (by email). You will need to be logged in to an IMDb account to do this.
Please ensure that you're deleting the correct IMDb account before proceeding.
In your IMDb Account Settings, you will see information about your IMDb account, including any profiled data. You will see a link to your IMDb profile, the number of titles in your Watchlist, how many titles you've rated, the number of titles you've reviewed and your profile badges. Before opting to unlink and delete an IMDb account, check the email address of that IMDb account, and confirm that the associated profile is of the IMDb account you wish to unlink and delete.
